Product Description

Make sure that you are prepared for cold weather riding with the Firstgear Warm & Safe Heated Liner. Firstgear has designed the Warm & Safe Heated liner to hook up to any model of motorcycle. It is also designed to come in either 65 or 90 watt, whichever you prefer to stay warm. The Firstgear Warm & Safe Heated Liner is manufactured with stretch panel fabric that helps give a great fit to your body. The Firstgear Warm & Safe heating elements run across the upper and lower back, down the sleeves and around the neck to help combat the effects of windchill. The Firtsgear Heated Jackets are the main part of staying warm while riding in cold weather. All of the other heated apparel can be connected to the jacket. Using a single heat troller you can add gloves that connect directly to the jacket at each arm. Pants can be connected at the waist (using the Y Splitter that is included with the jacket) and socks can then be added to the pants. Creating the ultimate heated gear to keep those rides safe, warm and fun. Using a dual heat troller allows you to add multiple items such as gloves and jacket, or pants and socks and dial the heat individually. Allowing you to set the pants and socks warmer than the jacket and gloves or vice versa. Available in 90-watt and 695 watt. Designed to be plugged into a DC power source or battery pack. Heat-Trollers provide you with multiple ways to control the heat output in your heated gear. Exclusive dual-zone heating system allows you to use the single or the dual Heat-Troller without rewiring the liner. The liner is rated at 110-watts at 12.8 volts. Designed to be worn over a single layer of clothing like the TPG Basegear, a t-shirt or other lightweight garments. A protective outer jacket should always be worn over it. Built to be temperature neutral, so that you can wear your liner all day and not have to change clothing when you need heat. Lightweight soft nylon shell for minimum bulk,

5Extending the riding season
By Orbspiders
I received this product as a gift. My particular liner was purchased from another seller, but the model is exactly the same. Since there were no reviews for this I figured I'd share my experience.

My gift included a pair of heated gloves (also from Firstgear) and a Heat-troller with separate controls for the gloves and liner.

Installation of the temperature control unit was a breeze. Within an hour I had everything ready to go with the cables dressed neatly and secured - nothing loose or looking out of place. For ease of use I mounted the temperature controller right on the battery cover (directly on my left side - Harley Sportster Superlow). My left arm drops and my hand reaches the temperature controls without any effort. I am able to completely control the heat easily without taking my eyes off of the road.

After getting the controller installed I was ready to ride. I wore a long-sleeved t-shirt, the liner, then a leather jacket. Of cou rse I also had the heated gloves and a pair of thick leather pants. The temperature was ~35° F and I wasn't sure how comfortable I'd be even with the heated gear. No better time to test it!

I rode for about 30 minutes just to get a feel of how well the heated gear would perform. I was very impressed with the comfort level, and now I realize that as long as the road is not frozen, this jacket liner and the gloves are enough to keep me riding all year long. Even at speeds >60mph (no windshield) I was still warm and cozy, and I don't think I had the heat turned up to full capacity.

Without the heated liner I could ride the bike comfortably for about 6 or 7 months. With the heated liner I could ride almost the entire year. Just for the sake of safety I won't ride while the road is cold enough to freeze, but *just* above freezing is fair game.

I highly recommend this item.

5Great for not super cold winters
By James Gardner
I live in the SF area right now and it doesn't get super cold here. However, there's about a month or two out of the year where temps in the early mornings are in the mid 30s. This jacket really did the trick. It heats up incredibly quick and even when on the highway, I almost got a little too warm sometimes. I'm very glad I got this thing, it makes my winter commutes much more pleasant.

5perfect for me
By Edward L. Torgerson
I commute to work from Santa Cruz to San Jose on my bike at 5:30 AM. This liner is light weight and provides just the right amount of heat to keep me warm and comfortable on those low 40's mornings. Use it in combo with my First gear gloves. Plugs into the sleeve extension wires.
