Nice Helmet!

I bought this helmet because I had a Fly Large MX helmet before and it fit perfect. Went to a Fox V3 Large and the size was a bit looser than the Fly but I changed my ride and so had to change the color :p Just accepted a little worse fit. Fast forward to doing more dual sport and don't like riding downtown with my full-on MX goggles and all, so looked up this helmet and it had great ratings. Guess what... Large size fits exactly like my old Fly. Like a glove! Not built quite as well as the Fox, but 1/3 the price too. I bought a second shield and it's significantly more difficult to change out than my Bell street helmet (rotate shield up, pull little lever, and it pops off) Suggest to use needle nose pliers on the shield hardware from the outside, rather than small screwdriver from the inside. You'll see what I mean when you change one. I broke the little plastic retaining ring with the screwdriver, but the way it sandwiches together I think it will still work fin e.

Weighed this one vs. Fox V3 w/ goggles attached (maybe not a fair comparison, but you do need googles!) Fox is 3.79lb and Fly is 3.86lb. Wow... nicely done Fly!

Overall great product for the money. Like most of the other reviews say, if you are on the borderline between sizes (like I am)go up and it will fit great.

Have not ridden with it yet, but I wear earplugs so sound level will not be an issue... and I cannot imagine it catching the wind more than my Fox. With the V3 at 55-60mph, I have to keep my head tilted significantly down to not get major lift.

Anyways, I will post back if it explodes or something else horrible happens :) Cheers

ps... they could use a better silk screen process to put on the Fly logo! Can't imagine it would cost that much more.
