Super Awesome Helmet!!

I've always loved AGV and this helmet makes me love them even more. I got an amazing deal on this helmet and absolutely love it!! It comes with a clear visor so I had to spend $60 to get a mirrored one, which looks great. The vents are great and there's a snap on the chin strap so its very secure. 5 stars!

Quality not up to reputation

I bought this helmet last year. It appears the price has come down quite a bit since then, which makes it a better bargain. I do like the helmet and the fit is good, but for $150, I expect a little better quality on the details.

I have a few problems with the helmet. First, the snap on the chin strap is cheap plastic. It is difficult to snap and doesn't inspire much confidence. I have seen a lot of less expensive helmets which had metal snaps which are more secure and will last longer.

Second, and this is more of a serious issue, the visor came with some kind of film on the inside which had to be cleaned before the visor could be used. I would describe this film as what one would see when a sticker is peeled off a glass surface. I had to clean on the visor a long time before it was usable, but there are still remnants of the film still visible on the visor. I only use it if absolutely necessary. The visor also seems to fog easily, but I suppose that is because of the close fit.

Lastly, when riding with the visor up (see issue #2) air turbulence causes the visor to close when I need it to stay open. The racheting mechanism is not as secure as it might be.

AGV was my first helmet back in 1987, and this AGV S-4 Helmet is Awesome !

Helmet fits snug, light weight, good vision.

I Recommend this AGV Street Helmet.

Dual Sport Purpose I'd go with the Shoei Hornet DS. Awesome Fit !!

AGV's Dual Sport Helmet, AX-8 Dual Sport Helmet isn't made as well, visor tension screws break to easily.
